Well I just can't get over with thinking and excitement that a month from now i'll be having my first Mac. Yes you heard it right. For the first time in around 12 years since I started using PC in senior high, i'll be shifting to Mac and hopefully i'm gonna get the Macbook Pro with Leopard 10.5 preinstalled.
The reason behind this shift is because I started to appreciate Mac/Apple when I bought my iPod Touch. I realize that I was already bored with Windows due to the failure of Vista and wanted a more exciting system. I would have wanted to try installing Leopard in a cloned PC but the instructions are very complicated. I also have my reservation on Mac since I was never into that system and it would never be a smart move being a web developer using .NET.
But after several confirmations from friends about dual-booting Windows on Mac, I was finally convince to try it most especially that I need a notebook for business' sake so would I want even more to get that sleek aluminum-shelled Macbook Pro. Take note, I mentioned dual-booting Windows, meaning I will not leave PC. I'm a .NET developer remember? I still need Windows to earn a living but with a twist.

Bohol summer outing - not a tour
Last April 12 & 13 was Cebu Holdings' summer 'family' outing but unfortunately not a tour.
The event was held at the Bohol Beach Club which was loads of fun - games & laughters, swimming in the clear sea waters, & walking along the very long shore, you have the pool, tons of beer and you know just any typical beach outing except that it's held in Bohol, a place full of nature's wonders.
And a rich place like Bohol is something that needs to be explored by first-timers like the Seno family. Sad to say, only a few committed on the tour which was eventually cancelled due to the small count. Yeah you know the feeling, it's very incomplete and did not really feel the ultimate experience.
Anyways, here are some photos.

The IMAX Experience
Mike & I went to Manila for a 3-day seminar about graphics & publishing and part of the trip is, you know, exploring the unexplored. When we arrived in Manila, we had been talking about IMAX in the SM Mall of Asia since I missed it during my first visit in Manila. And so after the first day of seminar, we headed to our Manila office and checked the movie schedule in clickthecity website.
Unfortunately, the only movie available was U2 3D since the other movie which was Spiderwick Chronicles has only 1 schedule and has finished off. We were quite sad since U2 is plainly a concert movie but Mike said to give it a try as part of our exploration. And so we hurried off to the mall, got there, looking where to get a ticket, looking and looking everywhere since the mall is very huge, and finally we got to the IMAX place.
The place is very cool. It has an aura that injects energy and excitement. Sayang, we haven't brought any camera for kodak moments hehe... So we get a 730pm ticket at 500 pesos each without any second thoughts and took a quick dinner near the theatre. We were giddy with childish delight of what the theatre would bring.
So after dinner, it was just about time to get inside the theatre. The IMAX theatre is a lot different than a normal movie house. It has a steep angle seating arrangement so that audience face the screen directly, a giant screen, and you have to use a sort of eyewear that uses polarized lenses.
So the theatre starts with some trailers of upcoming IMAX movies. The images are simply stunning, crystal-clear formats, and visually superior. It's like you're part of the movie so that in areas that is fully action-packed, you could dodge unconsciously since you're like being there. It's the ultimate experience and I tell you, it's worth the penny.
The concert was just marvelous. Bono and the rest of the U2 is amazing. If I could just standup and make some headbanging and jumping, I would do that. You're just like in the concert - in pulsing energy of a U2 stadium concert. You're there and you could just reach any of the band members. The concert started with Vertigo and ended with Without Or Without You. It was a powerful concert. It's just a shame Elevation was not played but overall the experience was great.
I would do another IMAX experience whenever I get another chance to go to Manila. The next movie is Speed Racer and it's another dynamic piece to experience.
